Influent CEO Asks For Change In Gambling Laws In Netherlands

Eric Olders, chief executive at an arcade gaming company is of the opinion that the taxes are extremely high and the gambling laws in Netherlands need to be changed at the earliest; if they are willing to walk in tandem with the rest of the world in the field of technology and gaming.
An interview was conducted by Intergame where Eric asked for a level playing field and a change in policy for gaming regulations when the Dutch government imposes the new rules. He opined that in order to have a bright future, the laws must be flexible enough to make the adjustments. The current law is extremely strict and the tax percentage is extremely high.
Right now, as per Dutch government policy, the tax rate is 29 percent for offline games and 20 percent for those that are carried out online. Eric went on to tell that these rates are illogical and will hamper the growth of online gambling industry.
The gambling industry can bring in a lot of increased revenues and greater tourist activities as well.
