Bahamas Government May Legalize Online Gambling
The Bahamas tourism industry in its bid to promote tourism and bring larger revenues to the country is considering thoughts of legalizing online gambling in the country. There will be a conference titled “Shrinking The Global Divide: Synergy, Service and Sustainability” and one of the agenda will be legalization of online gambling.
There are people who believe that the gaming laws of the country are in dire need of modifications as they are not at par with the current needs of tourists. There are a lot of casino software companies that will be glad if gambling gets legalized as it hints at more revenues for them.
Uri Clinton who is the legal executive for Bahamas Resort and Casino Development will be one of the key speakers at the conference. He is of the opinion that legalizing gambling will help in creating new tax income opportunities for the government and therefore this is a win-win situation for everyone.
He has reasoned that lack of in play sports betting in US East Coast has been hurting short term tourism activity and if Bahamas chooses to change its gambling policy, they can generate a lot more revenues with the help of casinos and online gaming portals. There are a lot of other popular speakers who are scheduled to speak in the conference.
It is estimated that the change in legalizations can be a big move for the online gambling service providers in Bahamas as their output can phenomenally increase and their business revenues is bound to soar high too.
