Bahamas Will Have Gambling Regulatory System in the Nearest Future

Good news come for those who want to visit the Bahamas and try their luck at casinos, as Obie Wilchcombe, the Bahamas Minister of Tourism, reported that lawmakers are going to push for a remote bill which will allow gambling in the islands. Lawmakers claim that this bill will only allow outsiders to gamble in Bahamas casinos, while Bahamian residents will still be excluded from playing at gambling establishments.
Participants at this industry claimed they would suggest that those who own a work visa in The Bahamas and wealthy citizens should be allowed to gamble, while the Minister said that the Government still needs to find the best solution so that residents will benefit from the development of this industry, but that it will probably take some time for them to figure it out.
Even though Bahamian citizens will not be allowed to gamble, it will be claimed in the new bill that residents who want to open online gambling businesses will receive licenses, only if they prove that they have financial stability and are able to sustain their businesses.
