Connecticut Lawmaker Analyses Online Gambling Opportunities

The Chairman of the Connecticut Public Safety Committee, Steve Dargan, expressed the idea that the expansion of online gaming and betting in many American states is inevitable. This is why Dargan decided to visit one of the island jurisdictions, in order to observe the manner in which the online gambling industry operates. The Chairman commented that while other American states like Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey already created online regulatory frameworks, the next big step for Connecticut would represent the expansion of its regulatory system in order to allow online gambling operations.

While this state has already accepted all forms of gambling, the Chairman said he expects to see online sports betting operations in the nearest future.
Dargan also considered that these operations should not only be used for balancing the budget, as it needs to consider a series of available options to increase new revenue. The lawmaker stated that he is going to visit one of the islands next month, also saying that in regions like Europe, it is already fully legal to wager on sporting events.
