Currently West Virginia is not participating with gambling other than their state lottery. Even though they have been thinking about getting into gambling in some way, they have yet to make a move into the industry. Instead they are constantly losing business to overseas markets that specifically target American players.
By coming up with their own online gaming supplier and building a quality casino on the Internet, not only would West Virginia be able to make some more money, but they would be able to protect their citizens from dealing with companies who end up ripping them off. By starting their own regulated industry the state could at least make sure that players were in a safe environment that would not end with them losing a bunch of money to fraud.
