Federal Online Poker Legislation Attempt to be Sponsored Soon
The Reuters news agency has recently reported that Congressman Peter King might start pushing for the legalization of online poker at federal level. American states are currently legalizing different online gambling solutions, each state having its own internet gaming regulatory system. Experts say that only online poker might generate up to $10 billion in added gross gaming revenues by the end of 2017, if the federal law will be implemented. Investors are also saying that Nevada is a small market where competition could become fierce, while a federal solution will enable states to cooperate in any way they desire.
The media has not given exact details about when and how the new bill will be proposed. Besides Peter King, Democrat Joe Barton claimed that he will also launch an attempt so that a new federal online poker bill will be brought forward to state officials.
