Florida Might Become Major Gambling Destination
A new study released by Spectrum Gaming Group unveiled that South Florida could become one of America’s top gaming destinations if the government decides to pass a law that will allow operators to start land based casinos in the state. The research was conducted after two resorts were opened in Miami-Dade and Broward, resorts which would contribute in terms of jobs and taxes if they would host casinos. Thus, the researchers unveiled that if Florida operators could combine luxurious resorts with gambling establishments, the state might become a major international gambling hub.
Taking into consideration that nowadays online gambling has only been legalized in Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey, entrepreneurs who start land based casinos are still making their mark in the international gambling scene. On the other hand, the three American states that already legalized this industry will only allow players who live within the state borders to gamble online. This would mean that land based casinos will not fall behind internet gaming sites any time soon, so world-renowned operators are already planning to buy lands in order to start land based casinos in this region. At this point in time, Florida already houses 8 tribal casinos whose operators are complaining that big companies which plan to develop new gambling establishments in the state could influence their revenues in a negative manner.
