Gibraltar Gambling Regulations - An Example for the EU

According to information provided by “CasinoWebScripts”, Members of the European Parliament are claiming that Gibraltar has one of the most respected online gambling industries in the EU, with high consumer safety standards and famous online betting and gaming casinos. Ashley Fox, member of the European Parliament from the South West England and Gibraltar, explained that the Gibraltar gaming jurisdictions would have the potential to become a base for the entire EU online gambling industry regime.
This was discussed due to the fact that the gambling industry has a high impact on EU’s revenues. It is expected that the gambling industry will bring Euro 13 billion by the beginning of 2015. Fox claimed that the problem today is that EU countries tend to have their individual gambling systems, with different licensing policies. This makes it difficult for some of the gaming software providers to expand their products in all EU countries, even though they offer high quality products.
