Could Hawaii Legalize Gambling for the First Time
As reported by “Casinowebscripts” Hawaii could be legalizing gambling in their state for the first time in history. They are only one of two different states that have never had legal gambling before, and it could be a major change for the state.
Bill SB 768 is being considered by the legal system in Hawaii. The bill is nearly identical to a bill that was denied by the government approximately a year ago. Basically what this bill says is that Hawaii would create a state-owned corporation who would oversee the online gambling in the country.
The new organization would be responsible for choosing a reliable company to partner with for online gambling services in the state. After making the decision any citizens 18 and over would be able to use the service to gamble over the internet. The bill only allows for casino type games and it will not allow any sports betting to occur.
The bill argues that thousands of Hawaii citizens are already gambling in a dangerous unregulated way, and that by providing this service they could avoid most of the dangers that are created through this type of gambling. The casino providers who interview for the position would have to prove that they are reliable and safe for their citizens which would do everyone a service.
