Online gambling legalization in the United States was and is supported by many influential regulators. Even so, there are a lot of opponents who are doing their best to prevent the creation of a bill that will legalize federal online gaming, but not many of them succeeded in convincing pro-gambling legislators to give up. So far, the only one who really made his point is Sheldon Adelson, the casino mogul who is against the idea of internet gambling legalization.
Operators who seek to buy casino scripts might like to know that despite regulators are continuing to move towards drafting a federal gambling law, Adelson has recently explained that he will gear up for stopping online gaming legalization by teaming up with several lobbyists who will also campaign against the upcoming law. Gaming insiders claim that Adelson is not actually trying to prove that he has noble intentions and is pleading for the better good of American residents, but is instead trying to protect his own gambling businesses. The question on everyone’s lips is whether Adelson’s fortune and his multiple political donations will be able to make regulators listen. Industry insiders say that even if he manages to gain the attention of the federal government, he will most probably not succeed in stopping the regulation of online gambling.
