The Government of the Isle of Man has elected its new gambling internet executive, Peter Greenhill, an experienced executive which will be in charge of the online gaming and betting legislation in the area. John Shimmin MHK, the Minister for Economic Development, stated that he is thrilled of the fact that the Government managed to attract veteran Peter Greenhill, which is accustomed with the development of the gaming industry in the Island.
Greenhill has been working within the gambling industry for a period of 17 years and is going to become the head of online gambling development at a time when the Isle of Man has all the reasons to believe that the industry will be profitable in the future, as it has a lot of potential which has to be handled by someone who has the necessary experience to do so. Greenhill will implement strategies which will generate a healthy economic growth and will increase employment in the Island.
Online gaming and betting in the Isle of Man accounts for 8 percent of the total gross national income, providing more than 800 jobs and is known as an excellent location where businessmen can start an online gambling business venture.
