New Jersey is going to Have Online Gambling
“Casinowebscripts” has been keeping a close eye on the political climate in New Jersey, and it looks like online gambling is going to become legal there after all. There has been plenty of speculation whether Chris Christie was going to veto the new gambling bill that was passed through legislation or accept it and let the state have their online gambling.
It turns out that he took a middle route between both of those options. He had a few issues with the bill and because of that he would not sign his name on it. Instead he gave it a conditional veto, and he said that he would pass it if the issues were addressed.
On top of making it clear that he was going to allow online gambling within the state, there are plans to have it all launched sometime in fall which means that New Jersey could become the first state to actually open online casino if they don’t run into any issues like Nevada did.
New Jersey is going to be followed closely to see whether they are able to deliver on their deadline for online poker, and whether governor Christie actually agrees to the bill after the issues have been corrected within it.
