New Online Poker Law being processed
A new online poker law has been proposed to the USA leaders and it seems to be just a matter of time until it will be approved. The proposed bill would not only legalize the playing of poker online, but it would also regulate the industry by giving powers to the U.S. Department of Commerce. Individual states would also have the power to ban poker activities from their territory.
Eli Lehrer, the Vice President of The Heartland Institute, said that it was "common sense." The bill, called the Internet Gambling Prohibition, Poker Consumer Protection, and Strengthening UIGEA Act of 2011, or H.R. 2366, has also received bipartisan support, which Lehrer believes is significant.
These being said, it seems that a new era for poker has arrived, allowing the most popular game in the world to be played legally everywhere.
