Switzerland is removing the Online Gaming Ban

For over a decade Switzerland has maintained a strict non-gaming policy as far as the internet is concerned. They did not want any gambling to occur over the internet because that would cut into the gambling that people did at any one of their 19 local casinos or so they thought.
Unfortunately the ban never really worked out like they were hoping that it would and now they are planning on lifting the ban that prevents many companies from taking the step to open online casino and begin profiting over the internet.
Not only will this make it possible for all of those local casinos to get into the online gambling world and begin drawing income in from the internet, but it will also make it possible for people to start allowing the government to filter the casinos that they use for them. The government will be requiring different online casinos to apply to get a permit to run an operation within their country and without that permit the sites will be blocked from their country.
By taking this additional measure the citizens of Switzerland are protected against any online casinos that may want to try and rip people off.
