The Italy-Spain Poker Merger
For the past couple years there have been talks on and off about combining the online poker playing pools in countries like Spain, Italy, and France. These countries have gotten together on numerous occasions to speak about the possibility but they have never been able to agree on details enough to set up an official agreement and get the ball rolling.
Now it appears that there could be a complete casino solution that is made up of both Italy and Spain. These two countries already share a similar online poker policy, and they both have a similar tax as well which makes things pretty simple if they decide to try and merge together with one another. Enrique Alejo, the Director of Spanish online gaming is pretty confident that a merger deal will be worked out by the end of 2013. The deal would allow both countries to benefit and many companies who already have companies in both countries would be able to combine into a single website that would have players from the two countries sitting at a virtual table and playing against one another in poker matches. It is an exciting idea that would improve revenue for everyone involved without a doubt.
